Helping KHOPE

Ways one can help Kalamazoo Hope (for free!)

As mentioned on the About page, I currently operate Kalamazoo Hope using a portion of my disability stipend. While this is enough to create a website and handle a few other basic matters, there are certain areas where help would be welcome.  I would love to be doing more on my own, but cannot without compromising my own basic needs and health.

1) The first thing one can do is help themself stabilize, heal, and grow using Kalamazoo Hope's resources; this is why KHOPE exists.

2) The second thing one can do is to learn more about mental health through Kalamazoo Hope, as well as other psychological health information sources, such as the American Psychological Association (APA) and National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH).  Such knowledge provides one with the ability to help themself, others, and be better equiped in striving to aid one's community in matters regarding mental health.

3) A third and very valuable step one can take is to help spread awareness of Kalamazoo Hope and its services; some options include:

a) Word of mouth

b) Mentioning Kalamazoo Hope in one's social media

c) Following and Sharing Kalamazoo Hope on Facebook

d) Adding Kalamazoo Hope's website address to one's email signature (click the following for instructions related to  Gmail, iCloud, Outlook, and Yahoo!)

e) Placing business cards at one's place of work (available for free upon request)

f) Including a link to Kalamazoo Hope on your personal website or place of employment

g) Requesting a free presentation about Kalamazoo Hope at a location you work at

4) A fourth option is recommending resources that one is aware of that could assist with psychological health in the Kalamazoo County area.

Currently, I am unable to accept donations; however, I hope to find a solution to this conundrum in the near future, so please check back soon!

In whatever way one should choose to help, though, it is very much appreciated.

With thanks, and wishing you health and peace of mind,

Scott
